Cupping therapy is a form of the practice of the acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioners used to address many diseases and conditions. It involves the use of specially designed cups (or bamboo jars) applied directly to the skin with suction force, initiated with a pump or fire; this suction force will draw congested blood that could contain some toxins into the surface of the body ,making it easier to the circulatory system to get rid of them.
Types of cupping:
Where the therapist will apply cupping for a period of 5-10 minutes
Where the practitioner will make small incisions on the skin before applying the cupping aiming at draining the congested blood out of the body.
Where the therapist uses oil on the skin and move the cup over meridian pathways aiming at boosting energy levels at specific meridians and promoting relaxation
