Physiotherapy May Help with Symptoms of Parkinson’s
People suffering from Parkinson’s disease have some common symptoms like slow and short steps or difficulty walking. This increases their risk of falling and limits their mobility. Though there is no medicine to completely cure these associated disorders of Parkinson’s, Physiotherapy may be a big help to many patients. Dr. Sam Stuart, Senior researcher, Northumbria University is developing a new approach to treat walking disorders in physiotherapy patients using principles of physiotherapy which have shown short-term improvements in some, if not all, patients. If any of your loved ones suffer from Parkinson’s too, a Physiotherapy Clinic may soon be able to help if this research is successful.
